The Employer: is a fast-growing independent car rental group.

The Role: The HR Officer will provide generalist HR advice and service across all locations nationally, across a defined range of HR activities in line with HR standards and policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •   Provide implementation support on HR policies, processes and initiatives.
  •   Support the recruitment service and on-boarding process.
  •   Assistance with documentation and contracts required for on-boarding
  •   Provide support to the HR Manager on relevant HR/payroll requirements.
  •   Support the implementation of relevant HR Projects.
  •   Provide administration support of core HR processes.
  •   Be the point of contact for employees HR queries.
  •   Participation in HR disciplinary proceedings.
  •   Information gathering and administration around the company’s BEE initiatives and audits.
  •   Support a range of HR and employee relations matters in conjunction with the relevant HR Principal and HR Advisor.
  •   Management of any assets deployed to staff
  •   Assistance with ITC checks, references, CV formatting etc. as and when required.
  •   Keeping abreast of HR laws and BEE laws and driving compliance.
  •   Keeping abreast of health, safety and environmental standards and driving compliance.
  •   Demonstrate behaviour in line with the Group’s values, standards and a professional workplace.
  •   Participate as an effective team member in working collaboratively with your leader, clients, peers and relevant others (including from other teams where relevant) to achieve business goals.
  •   Operate in a cost-effective way, within limits set by your leader.
  •   Work within policies, processes and systems and advise any issues which impede your, or the team’s performance.
  •   Any printing and scanning required.
  •   Any office operations and admin related tasks as required.

Organisation and assistance with company events and functions as required

Desired Experience & Qualification

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  •   Grade 12
  •   HR Degree / Diploma
  •   MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Email
  •    3 - 5 years HR Admin experience
  •   SAGE 300 People systems experience
  •   Motor Industry (MIBCO) knowledge an advantage
