Description
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the overall appearance of the company’s hotel rooms ensuring the highest standards of maintenance and cleanliness is consistent in the hotel rooms at all times. You are also required to effectively lead, motivate and manage the housekeeping team. This includes the recruitment, training and performance management of the housekeeping team. The housekeeping manager is also responsible for the strict control and purchasing of all hotel stock within the departmental budgets. The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department in accordance with company standards and guidelines. Ensure guests’ needs are being met along with company’s core values
Hotel School Management Diploma
Knowledge of housekeeping duties to ensure productivity is met and exceeded
A minimum of 4 years’ experience in all aspects of Housekeeping in a large, multi-use facility required, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
Strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
Flexible in hours and days available to work.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions.
Highly organised.
Effective time management skills.
Ability to manage conflict.
Proficiency with general office PC applications (Word processing, spreadsheets, Databases, Outlook)
Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills.
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
