As a Hospitality Manager; your role is to ensure that, at an operational level, the integrated soft services are executed effectively through the delegation and management of the supervisors within the commercial contract. The HM will plan, coordinate and manage the related tasks with the guidance of the Regional Manager. The scope of integrated services include Catering, Cleaning, Hygiene and Pest control, Hospitality, basic Gardening and Housekeeping services.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Effective execution, at operational level, of the integrated services including: Catering-, Cleaning-, Hygiene & Pest control, Hospitality, basic Gardening and Housekeeping services.
  • Comply with the stipulations of the commercial contract.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage the tasks related to the achievement of operational goals and objectives.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risk

Desired Experience & Qualification

Education and experience required

  • Tertiary qualification in Food Services Management/Hospitality/Healthcare is essential
  • At least 5 years’ experience in managing successful teams within a healthcare environment, is essential
  • Experience in highly commercial and sensitive markets, working within strict brand guidelines, in result focused end to end disciplinary processes is essential
  • Experience in an integrated services environment within the Healthcare sector would be advantageous, specifically where Cleaning- Hygiene-, Pest control-, Hospitality- or Healthcare services were integrated.
  • Health and Safety knowledge is essential

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

  • Good knowledge of South African and Industry specific Labour Laws
  • Knowledge of the management, technicalities of and operational model within a contract catering, bundled/integrated service environment
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety standards related to the Catering-, Cleaning- Hygiene-, Pest control-, Hospitality- or Healthcare services.
  • Skilled at all the managerial functions
  • Financial acumen supported by results orientated, problem solving and consequence management skills
  • Excellent customer services and negotiation skills
  • Competent at using data processing software, including custom developed software, spread sheet based programs (at intermediate level), and presentation programs.
