Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties:
- Group reporting, taxation, alignment of policies and procedures and operational financial functions. With this role, the candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations and reporting 4 subsidiary companies as well as ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Feedback will be given from the Group Financial Manager with regards to actual forecast and budgeted figures
- Preparing monthly group as well as HFM reporting packs (both actual and forecasts)
- Release payments to the related monthly creditors
- Gather and documentation of information regarding the IFRS 17-insurance contracts impact to the Group
- Assisting with compiling group Annual Financial Statements
- Ensuring that all journals are approved, posted and reconciliations are approved
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Accounting Honours
- CA(SA)
- First time pass for Board I and II
Experience:
- Completed articles from the Big 4 audit firms
- Post articles experience is advantageous with a insurance or financial service environment
- Experience using Oracle Financials is advantageous
- Experience using HFM reporting is advantageous
- Experience with IFRS 17 Insurance contract
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel

- Must be able to adapt to an environment that is constantly changing or developing
- Professional individual who can work in a team as well as independently
- Must be able to work well under pressure to meet set deadlines
- Must be able to analyze complex problems and suggest correct course of action
