Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose of the role (summary) To work together with the Senior Graphic Designer and Marketing Manager to create high visual marketing material for websites, social media, advertising, posters, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity. Key responsibilities • To perform the graphic design requirements for the business including company forms and media layout. • Be able to design creative without a formal brief by understanding clients needs. • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships by building rapport with suppliers and clients. Design • Advise on strategies to reach a particular audience • Determine the message the design should portray • Create images that identify a product or convey a message • Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and websites • Select colours, images, text style, and layout • Re-touch and manipulate digital photography and artwork • Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them • Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, newsletters and websites • Determining size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, font style and size • Preparing rough drafts of material • Maintain corporate identity Liaison and Relationship building • Liaising with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality. • Meet with clients, other departments or the marketing manager to determine the scope of a project. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Reports • Weekly reports on project progress
