My client is requiring  for an in-house graphic designer to join their cosy marketing team. They  are a fashion footwear company that owns multiple brands; . They  also have Brick and Mortar retail stores as well an online store Candidates will be responsible for all the brands and retail outlets (in-store and online) marketing and design requirements.

Our ideal candidate must have a keen eye for design, confidence in their taste, exceptional layout and image touch-up skills. They will be responsible for creating design solutions that deliver high visual impact and need to be able to interpret unique brand styles and deliver effectively for each brand.

The position requires a candidate who has the following characteristics:

1. Thorough understanding and passion for design, best practices, trends & visual storytelling. Knowledge to create final print and online artwork.  Must understand the difference between a creative idea and tactical execution and be an expert at producing both.

2. Able to manage and prioritise a wide range of tasks without compromising creative standards.

3. Flexible in working both autonomously and more closely as a team when developing and executing concepts.

4. Enjoy working with clients, directors and colleagues. Must be an exceptional communicator to help manage colleagues and clients efficiently.

5. Ability to work and cope under huge pressure. Must have a sense of urgency and be reliable – responsibilities and deadlines must be met.

6. Must be goal oriented, focused, positive and self-motivated.

Requirements

• University graduate
• Minimum 2 year work experience
• Exceptional knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite  (especially Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
• Strong layout and design skills
• Ability to adhere to deadlines
• Time management and attention to detail are essential
• Self-directed and capable of working in a fast-paced environment

Only CVs with portfolio’s will be considered. After being interviewed a simple, design ‘test’ might be required to ensure that proficiencies match portfolios.
