Responsibilities

GRADE 8 -12 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TEACHER

We seek to employ a person who:

  • is a dynamic, enthusiastic, and experienced teacher.
  • has an appropriate university degree and professional qualification.
  • has an innovative and progressive approach to teaching Information Technology.
  • is able to innovate and teach Coding to Grade 8 and 9 pupils.
  • has expertise in Java Programming.
  • has thorough content knowledge of the IEB IT curriculum.
  • has the vision to identify and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the new curriculum.
  • can bring the rapidly changing world of ITC into the classroom as well as the co-curricular programme to inspire and inform learners.
  • has knowledge of the assessment procedures of the Independent Examinations Board.
  • is able to work in a team which includes liaising with teachers teaching in the GET phase and the ITC support team.
  • is prepared to be part of a mentoring programme if necessary.
  • has good organisational as well as administrative skills,
  • is driven, can manage themselves and work independently.
