The Board of Governors of the Kidz Playhouse NPC invites applications for the
position of General Manager.
Reporting to: Board of Governors
Responsibilities
Requirements and Experience:
- Minimum Qualification: Appropriate Post Graduate Qualification.
- Minimum Experience: 5 years of financial and school management experience.
- Sound knowledge of labour law, statutory taxes, and accounting principles.
- Excellent decision-making skills which include the ability to plan, prioritise, delegate, evaluate, and monitor staff.
- Sound interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
- Vision and the ability to collaboratively manage a diverse staff in a way that is consistent with the overall mission, vision, and core values of the school.
- Sound knowledge of remuneration processes including PAYE, submission of EMP201’s,
- EMP501’s, bi-annual tax reconciliations, and submission and production of IRP5’s, etc.
- Appropriate levels of ICT skills including Microsoft Office or Google Suite for Schools.
- Ability to interact with, and successfully mediate interactions between staff, parents, and learners.
- Must have a police Clearance certificate not older than 6 months. o English as a first language
- Complete the daily financial/business management functions including capturing and reconciling bank transactions, resolving account queries, invoicing, processing payments, etc.
- Liaise with Academic Head to maintain a healthy balance between the academic and business functions.
- Manage General Assistant, Administrative, Aftercare, and teaching staff as required.
- Ensure equitable time management between the three business units.
