Description
An international company within the Retail / FMCG sector is looking for an experienced Fresh Produce Buyer for their branch in Brackenfell
Duties & Responsibilities
- Growing programmes: planning / implementation thereof
- Product purchase prices
- Sales and gross profit for own buying category
- Maintaining shortage on order / product wastage within acceptable levels
- Product management, including quality
- Food safety systems and procedures
- Regular farm and market visits
- Packaging stock levels
- Promotions
- Acquiring accurate / relevant management information
- Assisting with general management duties
- Adhering to company Policy on buying and trading procedures
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 + a relevant tertiary qualification
- A thorough knowledge of Fruit and Vegetables is essential.
- Previous trading experience is a requirement
