Purpose of the Job: 

To provide an import air and sea freight service to our clients within the general vertical, keeping all customers up to date on the movement of their cargo at all times.

Key Performance Areas: 

Receive customer’s indent / order

Captures indent on Cargowise

Makes arrangement with agent to collect order once ready

Obtains sailing / flight details from agent

Updates customer ident via Cargo Wise and informs customer of status

Checks documents, once received from agent, against original indent

Updates indent via Cargo wise

Registers file and sends documents to operations

Monitors progress and updates customer

Update customers on Delivery – status report / telephonically.

Closes Order once delivered

Job Requirements and Required Skills:

Matric

Intermediate computer literally skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Working experience of Cargo Wise (Advantageous)

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Sea and airfreight import experience (minimum 3 years)

Must have knowledge of processes

Ability to work late where required
