Description
A 6-month contract position as Administrator to assist during seasonal activities, based in Stellenbosch, has become available within our company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Data capturing
- Management of data flow
- Ensuring recording of all transactions are updated on daily basis
- Stock reconciliations
- Problem solving essential
- Invoicing and preparation for payments
- Adhoc reporting
- Support
Contract Administration
- Assist Logistics team as required.
- Trade slips, signed contracts, release instructions, capturing of loads, reconcile open contracts - sales & purchases, deliveries, variations and resolutions (24 hour turnaround time).
Invoicing
- Daily invoicing – Delivered sales, Spot Sales, Delivered Purchase, Spot Purchase, Contracts
- Resolve invoice queries
- Credit sheet, notes & ledgers
- Deferred agreements
- Deliveries and assignments
- Reconciliations
- Transport invoices, road & rail - as above, including verifying weight losses
Ad hoc & Reporting
- In-transit exposure report
- Stock negatives
- Uncaptured loads
- Delivery data
- Uncaptured loads liaison with Logistics teams
- Solve reconciling differences
- Transport accruals
- Contract recons
- Group reporting (Head Office) , Logistics Manager, Execution team and CFO
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric and Qualification a preference
- Minimum of 3 years working experience
- Strong in numbers and reconciliations
- Excellent communication skills (written, and verbal) in Afrikaans (1st) and English (2nd)
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment with multi tasking skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, web-based applications and Outlook
- Strong Excell competencies
Preference will be give to individuals with exposure to the grain industry and derivative markets.
Package & Remuneration
- Market related salary
- To start immediately
- Monday to Friday, 8 – 5 / 7 - 4
- Overtime hours where necessary; predominantly at soft close and month end
- Overtime under the threshold will be reimbursed accordingly
- 3-months probation
- 1 calendar months' notice period
- Financial year end is December
- Season runs from April - August
