Description
Responsibilities:

- Assisting with implementation of the business strategy.
-
- Driving strategic development of financial and management accounting activities.
-
- Management of Financial Manager, Management Accountant and Finance Team.
-
- Reviewing annual and other budgets as required.
-
- Reviewing, analysing and reporting on monthly management accounts.
-
- Providing financial reporting to shareholders.
-
- Management of year end audit processes.
-
- Project management of all key finance projects.
-
- Full financial control function.
-
- Cash management of local and foreign bank accounts.
-
- Payment and expense authorisations.
-
- Managing Finance Division activities.

- Overseeing development of mathematical models.
-
- Providing input into new business proposals.
-
- Identifying and interpreting finance and tax regulatory requirements, e.g. IFRS.

- Determining high level policies and procedures.
-
- Maintaining and developing internal controls.
-
- Reviewing of IFRS compliant financial statements.
-
- Reviewing of VAT and annual and provisional corporate tax returns.

- Responsible for managing the Company’s BEE procurement score.

- Supporting and driving the business core values and strategy.
Profile
Qualification:
- Accounting related Degree (B.Com / Business Science).
- Qualified CA.
Skills / Experience:
- 5+ years post-articles experience in Financial Services.
- 3+ years of management experience in a similar role is essential.
- Motivate and coordinate people, tasks and resources to achieve deadlines.
- Strong focus on supporting / coaching junior staff members by providing practical knowledge, competence and expertise.
- Strong numerical and accounting skills.
- An individual who is methodical, accurate and diligent.
- Understanding IFRS accounting principles and SARs legislation.
- Working knowledge of accounting packages - Sage Accpac, SAP, JD Edwards or similar.
