Description
A fast scaling startup that has raised over R100m+ in Venture Capital is seeking a Financial Controller in Cape Town as they continue to scale into new international territories. The successful candidate will be jointly responsible with the Finance Manager for ensuring that financial systems and controls are designed to keep up with a rapidly scaling business.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Compiling monthly management accounts.
- Assisting the Financial Manager with various tasks, such as: operational treasury tasks, external audits, audit pack preparation, accounting policy development and implementation.
- Oversee the group creditors function.
- Lead and manage all balance sheet reconciliations, process revenue transactions, payment gateway reconciliations and South African tax compliance, VAT calculations, submissions and tax authority audits.
- Identify, evaluate and manage risk.
- Ensure data quality in the financial system is maintained.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum BCom degree (essential).
- Minimum of 3 years SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA Articles Completed (essential).
- Registered AGA(SA) / PA(SA) / CGMA (Highly beneficial).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in e-commerce (beneficial).
- Previous high growth start-up experience (beneficial).
- Xero experience (beneficial).
Package & Remuneration
R420 000 - R480 000 p/a
