Description
Our client is seeking to employ a Finance Manager in their organization, based in Port Elizabeth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master of Commerce.
- Registered Chartered Accountant in South Africa.
- At least 5-7 years of professional experience in a similar role.
- High professional proficiency in MS Excel.
- SAP experience.
- Professional working knowledge from a similar position in a production unit.
Duties and Responsibilities:
General Ledger:
- Review and authorization of journal entries.
- Review and sign off of key General Ledger recons.
- Processing of key month end journal entries.
- Maintenance of general ledger chart of accounts.
Net Working Capital:
- Review debtors age analysis and provision for bad debts.
- Oversee debtor’s collection process in support of the company’s KPI’s.
- Prepare monthly stock valuation.
- Provide feedback to Management on Debtors and Stock, in support of company’s KPI’s.
- Review creditors age analysis and ensure suppliers paid on time.
- Management of local and foreign currency bank accounts.
- Manage FEC’s and hedge’s in line with Group Treasury and SA Reserve Bank guidelines.
Capital Expenditure:
- Coordinate and control capital expenditure within approved budgets, in conjunction with the Project Team.
- Oversee preparation of fixed asset register.
Budgets/Forecast:
- Assist Plant Controller with quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
- Complete BCS packs for reporting purposes.
Audit:
- Liaison with external auditors for annual audit.
- Liaison for internal audit function for financial transactions.
Statutory:
- Draft Annual Financial Statements.
- Calculation and submission of Company Tax and Provisional Tax Returns.
- Preparation and submission of Transfer Pricing documentation to SARS.
- Oversee VAT and Payroll taxes.
- Ensure compliance with local and foreign tax legislation.
- Act as Public Officer of the legal entity.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and International and SA Accounting and Audit Standards.
- Completion of SA Reserve Bank documents and questionnaires.
- From time to time carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification, and training of the incumbent.
Other:
- Preparation and submission of cashflow.
- Provide support to HR relating to payroll and payroll tax, including expats payroll.
- Provide support for Travel and expense management.
- Manage Risk reporting process.
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
People Management:
- Manage all personnel in the department and provide ongoing performance feedback to staff as and when required.
- Ensure that all personnel in the department is developed and trained as required by the various job functions.
- Ensure best working practices within the department.
- Set quality and performance KPI’s for the department and monitor the departmental performance on a defined frequency.
Quality Management:
- Oversee the development, implementation of and the adherence to the Quality Management System for the department.
- Ensure compliance to all QM controlled processes and documents.
- Represent the department during inspections and audit.
