Description
A well established and fast-growing Tourism company is seeking to hire a Finance Manager to join their management team. The ideal candidate will be someone that is able to grow into the role with the company as they scale their current operations. The role will be based in Jeffrey’s Bay, Cape St Francis or Humansdorp. Duties & Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the entire finance function from capturing of initial transaction detail to reconciling the general ledger accounts.
- Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, cash ups and other transactions
- Take ownership of all financial reporting, including preparation of management accounts, as well as variance analysis and commentary
- Prepare and update the monthly and annual budgets
- Assist with preparation and submission of VAT, tax, payroll and PAYE
- Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.
- Take ownership of monthly Journal postings.
- Assist with Financial Audit oversight
- Take full ownership of the fixed asset register
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
- Create and maintain order through filing and good internal processes ensuring all documentation is neatly stored and easily accessible.
- Loading of payments
In Depth Roles
- Developing long-term business plans based on the reports.
- Provide insightful information and expectations to senior management to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
- Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Any candidate that has had relevant Financial Accounting or Financial Management Experience will be considered.
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA (or equivalent) articles will be ideal but not a requirement
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred but not required
- Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle.
