Our client in the Retail sector is currently seeking to employ a Finance Administrator for their Office in East London.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Similar role.
  • Bookkeeping / Finance related qualification (Advantageous).
  • Pastel.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent Numeracy skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability and Adaptable when working under pressure.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • Creative and Forward Thinking.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills on all levels.
  • Valid Driver’s License – Code 8 unendorsed (advantageous).
  • Computer literate, Proficiency in Excel (advanced Excel skills).
  • Proficient in Pastel.
  •  Excellent report writing skills.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Willingness to learn.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To Drive, Manage, Deliver and plan all specifically assigned finance related
    tasks of the business.
  • The Finance Administrator assists the Accountant to
    make sound business choices within their specific department / role.

Daily/Monthly tasks:

  • Prepare monthly store sales incentive bonus calculation.
  • Submission of monthly store sales incentive to payroll timeously.
  • Preparation of Monthly lay bye sales summary.
  • Preparation of Negative Net Realizable Value (NRV) Report.
  • Submission of Adhoc Insurance Claims / Administration.
  • Maintaining insurance schedule of all claims submitted and paid.
  • Preparation of credit card applications. (Adhoc).
  • Review of all sundry creditors’ recons.

As and when required:

  • Review rental recons.
  • Assisting in reconciling of daily cash deposits.
  • Daily Cash Flow.
  • Fidelity Queries.
  • Monthly Vat Recons.
  • Balance Sheet Recons.
  • Bank Recons x 5.
  • Journals: Stock & Sales; Interest; unpaid sweeping; speed point and reallocations.
  • Review of over/under journals prepared by Finance Clerks

Risk:

  • Preparation of daily and monthly reporting templates/packs
  • Preparation of Adhoc financial reports.
  • Providing administrative assistance to Risk Team.
  • Monitoring risk help desk on Spiceworks

Housekeeping:

  • Maintain cleanliness in office.

General:

  • Any reasonable tasks assigned by Finance Manager/Accountant/Risk Manager
    including and not limited to the above.
  • Assist auditors (internal & external) with requisite documentation / information.
