Description

An established international manufacturer of specialised agrochemicals requires the above to plan, execute, analyse and report on trials to achieve registrations for key products which will contribute to the future profitability and growth of the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a B.Sc. Degree in Agriculture with majors in plant pathology, entomology, weed science or similar
  • 2 years product development experience will be preferred
  • Must have previous trial experience
  • Must be willing to work outside and manage various trials
  • Does not have to be particularly outgoing

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring a 100% success rate of allocated trials in terms of quality and on-time delivery.
  • Executing trials from early stage through registration to demo trial activities, competitor monitoring and Field Crops demo trials.
  • Participating in and contributing to protocol management.
  • Reporting of trial results and observations/results not specified in the protocol.
  • Identifying problems, opportunities and threats.
  • Providing technical assistance to sales, marketing and technical departments.
  • Contacting and communicating with internal and external Stakeholders.
  • Validating results and giving recommendations on performance of tested products and solutions at single trial level.
  • Following up on external trials and interacting with CROs.
  • Maintaining equipment and stores.
  • Establish good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, such as Distributers, Grower organizations, Growers, etc.
  • Keeping abreast of market, trade and competitor activities in order to adapt to changing environments.
  • Arranging demonstration days to train internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assuming ownership of technical expertise per product and crop.
  • Driving standardization and transformation of ways of working.
  • Spreading expertise through result meetings, training and sharing of best practices.
  • Ensuring that all operations under direct control comply with Health, Safety & Environment policies and guidelines as well as any other statutory policies.

 

Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience
