We require a full time Sales Consultant who will be based on the road, affiliated to our Fourways showroom. The position calls on customers in the Fourways, JHB and Vaal, North West areas.

The position is immediately available.

Main purpose of the job:

Promote and sell Hertex merchandise, sample books and partnership programmes to customers in the allocated areas and develop new business in order to meet sales targets.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

Main duties:

• Visit customers according to contact plan, customer needs identified and advice provided on the appropriate selection, price and care of products
• Excellent product knowledge demonstrated, samples and product ranges demonstrated, replacement fabrics offered on discontinued ranges or out of stock items
• Special import ranges and additional products promoted and sold
• Sample books updated and discontinued ranges removed, new products, specials and promotions highlighted
• Sample books and partnership programmes sold
• Orders taken and referred to Sales Administrators
• Sales leads identified and contact made, client base increased and customer accounts opened according to policy
• Regular feedback on queries and delivery dates provided, issues and queries dealt with promptly and courteously, complaints managed and flagged with sales manager
• Payment queries resolved with Finance, payments followed up
• Manage back order list

Desired Experience & Qualification

Requirements:

·         National senior certificate

·         Tertiary certificate or diploma in sales or marketing is an advantage

·         Minimum 2 years sales experience – retail or wholesale environment preferred

·         Exposure to an interior design environment is an advantage

·         Computer literate

·         Own reliable vehicle and driver's license

·         Good telephone etiquette

·         Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)

·         Good presentation skills

·         Good with building and maintaining customer relationships

·         Excellent customer service and after sales service

·         Good with selling products and concepts

·         Good with developing new business and markets

Package & Remuneration

Cost to company consists of a basic salary, commission, travel allowance, petrol card, cell phone allowance, medical aid and provident fund contributions.
