Description
Our company seeks to hire a well presented and professional code 10 Driver/ Warehouse Assistant for the Sandton Branch. The candidate will provide secure and timely driving service thus ensuring that deliveries to customers and suppliers are carried out safely, economically and efficiently at all times. This job will suite someone who is hard working, fit and strong enough to carry 20 litres of paint weighing approximately 35kg each.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliveries and collections of goods
- Loading & offloading of goods
- General Admin/Warehouse duties
- Ability of follow routes and time schedule
- Operate the company vehicle in a safe a reliable manner
- Compliance with the National Road Traffic Act of South Africa
- Comply with the company code of conduct, policies and procedures
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations
- Maintain and organize all delivery paperwork
Desired Experience & Qualification
Education:
- Minimum of a Matric or equivalent certificate
- Valid Code 10 Driver’s license and PrDP
- Valid Dangerous Goods/Hazchem certificate shall serve as an advantage
Skills and Experience:
- 3 years’ proven driving experience
- Medically and physically fit
- Good eye sight and hearing ability
- Excellent driving skills
- Knowledge of Sandton and surrounding areas
- Knowledge of road and safety rules and regulations
- Ability to identify a driving hazard and adherence to road safety
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Problem solving abilities
- Experience in packing and organising a Warehouse
- Experience using a Forklift shall serve as a bonus
- Experience in a retail environment will be an added advantage
