Our client based in Johannesburg is looking for Electrical Technician
Duties & Responsibilities
- Fault finding on various electrical machinery, including callouts and breakdowns after hours.
- Conduct planned maintenance, instrument fault analysis and instrument loop checks.
- Proactive in analyzing and investigating on recurrent electrical faults to continuously improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Plc panel wiring and faultfinding.
- Maintain Instrument manuals, drawings and panels.
- Complete necessary job cards and motor checklists.
- Basic Plc programming skills most commonly Siemens and Allen Bradley.
- Ensure planned maintenance, work orders, projects and breakdowns to be completed in a timeous and professional manner as instructed by Foreman/Engineer.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- A National Senior Certificate
- Be an Electrician working towards or achieved; N6, T3 OR Technician coming from trade experience.
- A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience as a tested Electrician / Technician
- A good understanding of AC drives – able to fault find mostly Siemens, Parker and Allen Bradley brands
- A good understanding of PLC’s – able to fault find Siemens, Allen Bradley Brands.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Clear Credit and criminal record.
