Description
A private pharmaceutical manufacturer, providing a dynamic range of products and services is seeking a Dispensary Pharmacist who will efficiently manage and control all operational activities of the dispensary including safe and responsible stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping and administration in line with manufacturing company standards, manage, supervise and direct the activities of assigned dispensary staff
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Job Outputs:
- Ensuring adherence to good pharmacy practice, legislation and standard operating procedures
- Ensuring the provision of a safe, effective, efficient, equitable, economic and quality of dispensing
- Managing end-to-end management of dispensary operations in accordance with good pharmacy practice
- Dispensing defect free raw material within guide lines of GMP or MCC requirements
- Ensuring that the correct batch has been staged and that all raw materials are accounted for
- Ensuring that the equipment to be used and the weighing cubicle area is clean
- Ensuring that the calibration status of the dispensing scales is current
- Successfully dispensing material batches as per production plan the first time
- Ensuring that effective SOPs are in place for all dispensary processes
- Timeously and accurately complete all documentation pertaining to the batch
- Ensuring that dispensing tools are cleaned, stored and ready for the next batch
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant and related SOP’s
- Ensuring that all zero accidents are reported per month

Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree
- Registered with South African Pharmacy Council
- Microsoft Office Suite
Experience:
- 2 year’s pharmaceutical industry experience, production experience is preferred
- Sound knowledge of cGMP procedures and standards
- Experience in dispensing raw materials for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company
