Duties & Responsibilities
Department: Operations/Development
Reporting to: Development / Control & Instrumentation Engineer
Main Purpose of Job: Design, develop & maintain control & instrumentation, User Interfaces, Hardware and Software systems suitable for the company. Maintain existing software baseline, ensuring sustainability and performance and support in field operations
Design & Develop Systems:
- Analyse needs and generate specifications and project plan.
- Generate required C&I/Software/Electrical system functional description and/or control philosophy and interface documentation
- Design and develop C&I/Software/Electrical system.
- Generate Acceptance Test Instructions (ATI) and corresponding Acceptance Test Result sheets (ATR).
- Generate applicable manuals
Baseline Management and Support:
- Maintain existing C&I/Software/Electrical systems by updating and/or fixing bugs and document if necessary.
- Update data pack and/or C&I/Software/Electrical applications release version.
- Support production & service personnel when required.
Provide training to production & service personnel when required
New Technology:
Keep up to date with new technology and identify applicable technologies to the company
General:
- Log all new and updated software applications/modules to configuration management.
Oversee PC & OS units and architectures that need to be maintained for the system lifecycle purposes
Compliance & Regulatory related:
- Know and adhere to processes required to maintain certification
- Create new processes if required
- Provide inputs to technical file where required
Ensure adherence of development processes to compliance standards
