A well-established organization in Cape Town is seeking a Debtors Clerk to join their team. Salary will be discussed in interview.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitoring of accounts to ensure that payments are received timeously and are up to date
- Administering Debtors / Debt collection - Follow up on outstanding accounts
- Collect overdue monies and timeously flag overdue accounts to relevant staff and management
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting including age analysis, reconciliations, processing
- Collect overdue monies and timeously flag overdue accounts to relevant staff and management
- Accurate and constant follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments
- Deal with queries from clients and reconciling of customer accounts where necessary
- Complete debtors’ function
- Ensure timeous and accurate recording of all invoices, debt and credit notes
- Accurate and constant follow up with customers regarding outstanding payments
- Filing and ensuring all documentation sequence is controlled
- Opening new accounts
- Daily and monthly reporting to management
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (Client Service/ Debt Collection)
- Previous debt collect experience & techniques will be an advantage
- A tertiary education will be beneficial
- Must have a matric certificate or equivalent
- Be computer literate in MS Office & IT packages
- Have good time management skills, documentation skills & listening skills
- Have excellent negotiation & communication skills
- Be bilingual
