As a Data Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) resource, you will work directly with our consumer lines of business, reporting into Direct Marketing and working closely with the Rapid Learning Lab team. The work will span the entire marketing and sales funnel, and customer experience, from testing for media channel optimization, to prospect identification and targeting
Description

From a BI perspective you will use internal and external data to analyse the consumer business (especially the direct marketing business) in terms of market, business and marketing trends and segmentation models to better understand the consumer business and provide recommendations and solutions to help to drive profitable growth and improved efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Utilize Design-of-Experiments to design and analyse highly efficient tests to derive actionable insights to improve the direct marketing effectiveness and efficiency across the sales funnel

Extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets (both structured and unstructured) for model building.

Build predictive models utilizing both traditional statistical methods (Generalized Linear Models, Mixed Effects Models, etc.) and modern machine learning techniques (Gradient Boosted Trees, Random Forests, Kernel Methods, Deep Learning, etc.)

Communicate insights from quantitative analyses to technical and non-technical audiences. Push the envelope in the digital marketing space to drive towards a customized customer experience across the sales funnel

Build scalable solutions that create great business impact

Work with business sponsors, external vendors and IT teams to implement analytic solutions

Participates in work-stream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing and delivery of BI solutions.

Business requirements and analysis: Works with relevant stakeholders to develop and analyse BI needs and interprets business requirements to provide optimum BI solutions to meet needs. Research business problems and creates models that helps analyse these business problems.

Testing: Develops, executes and documents user test plans and provides support for testing. Reviews test plans and monitors testing process to ensure that business results are tested.

Information quality assurance: Verifies the collected data is within required quality standards.

Reporting: As agreed with business management develop reports and analysis that help to interpret the findings and results and provides recommendations and solutions to solve business problems and improve results.

Experience and Qualifications:

Experience in Statistical Design-of-Experiments either through experience or coursework.

Expertise in SQL and at least one of the following: R, Python, or SAS.

Proven facility with statistical modelling and machine learning techniques (e.g., Neural Net, Logistic Regression, CART, KNN, SVM, Random Forest, Linear, Nonlinear, Boosted Regression Trees, Time Series Models, Survival-Time to Event Models)

You understand the need to balance predictive power, interpretability, and ease of implementation.

Experience in Digital Direct Marketing is a plus.

Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline. Experience in Information Systems/ Computer Science/ Business Management would be an advantage.

Minimum 5 years working experience (minimum 3 years as a Business Analyst).

Desired Qualifications:

Practical experience on working with Salesforce.com.

CRM Application Basic Salesforce.com configuration expertise.

Any project management experience is a plus.

Knowledge of Insurance Industry concepts is a plus.

Ability to generate reports using any Business Intelligence Tools.

Exposure to working in a distributed environment.

Ability to work in a dynamic work-place environment.
