Description
We’re seeking a highly ambitious and recently qualified AGA(SA) / CIMA candidate that will assist the Directors of a JSE listed company to implement and execute on special projects across the group. The role will be as a cost & management accountant in a 12 month contract position and will work on strategic procurement projects together with the directors and head of departments across the Group.
The candidate will need to be strong at financial analysis and sorting, processing and interpreting large data sets into insightful information on which decisions and strategies can be created. The candidate will work closely with the director and across departments with senior management to design and implement cost reduction strategies. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate to get an overview of the entire company and how it operates
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the Procurement Directors run special strategic projects across multiple Business Units and Departments.
- Work through large sets of Financial and other datasets to identify segments in which the different departments should focus their efforts of renegotiating terms with suppliers.
- Identify further cost savings opportunities within different departments by analysis and sorting through datasets.
- Design strategies together with the directors and Head of Departments for procurement implementation.
- Report on cost control implementations and the results from the implementation of strategies
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Completed SAICA or CIMA articles (Non CA)
- 0-2 years post articles experience
- Previous working experience in the procurement finance department (beneficial)
- Very proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically very strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Driver’s license and own transport
Package & Remuneration
R25 000 - R35 000 per month
