Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the implementation of the business strategy
- Plan and direct the activities to achieve stated and/or agreed targets and standards for financial and trading performance, quality, culture, safety and legislative adherence
- Recruit, select and develop onsite team members
- Direct functions and performance via the onsite teams to achieve maximum efficiencies
- Report to the Regional Operations Manager on organizational operational plans and performance
- Contribute to the implementation of the Company’s vision and strategic plan to guide operations
- Identify, assess, and inform management on all internal and external issues that affect the organization
- Conduct official correspondence on behalf of management and jointly with management as and when required
- Develop the operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction of the organization
- Ensure that the operations of the organization meet the expectations of its clients
- Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation
- Implement and review policies on an annual basis and recommend changes if required
- Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the organization's programs (debtors, creditors, operations and sales) and services
- Ensure that the programs and services offered by the organization contribute to the organization's mission and reflect the priorities of the Company
- Monitor the day-to-day delivery of the programs and services of the organization to maintain or improve quality
- Oversee the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of projects
- Determine staffing requirements for organizational management and program delivery (i.e. recruitment, training (site, health and safety etc.)
- Oversee the implementation of the human resources policies, procedures and practices including the development and reviewing of job description for all staff
- Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with the appropriate legislation and regulations
- Recruit, interview and select staff that have the right technical and personal abilities that is best fit for the position
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Preferably a tertiary qualification in Business Administration and or Production management
- Matric
- Vechicle license
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in a similar management role
- Previous working experience within the functional outsourcing / logistics / E-commerce / warehouse environments.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and handle pressure
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office)
