You love to ensure projects flow smoothly from start to finish and don’t mind getting your hands dirty and being in the midst of it. You are a quality person and quality on site is very important to you as well as the relationships you harness with your clients and team members.
What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
You are the construction manager and your main focus is to ensure your construction schedule is followed and you work very closely with the project manager to ensure the plan goes smoothly. Sub-contractor schedules, cashflow, timelines are all part of your game and you love it because that’s just who you are. Your focus is also on quality on site and dealing with health and safety of all sub-contractors.
Where you’ll be doing it
You will be part of a growing and leading renewables company that is growing from strength to strength. You will be managing projects of various sizes for both micro-grid and off-grid solutions in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana to name a few.
What you’ll need
A wireman’s license is non-negotiable. You must have this qualification along with an electrical trade test. You have a strong electrical background and you have no problem travelling to site on a regular basis. You have construction managing experience and you
are an excellent communicator and people’s person; You are articulate in your written and spoken communication.
