Description
Our client, a well-established, multi-division company with a National footprint is looking to on-board an experienced Chief Financial Officer.
Overview:
The key imperative of this role will be to maintain the sustainability of core company operations, whilst developing strategic market position.
The successful incumbent will have strong commercial flair and solid project-based work experience. He/she will develop financial strategies to fund expansion projects required to meet company goals. He/she will work closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders, to ensure the business has the correct (and best) financial strategy in place, to achieve both short- and long-term business and cash objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Manage the overall financial strategy of the business and drive the financial agenda.
- Successfully manage a number of strategic projects. Inclusive of continuous improvement projects, productivity projects, and corrective projects.
- Develop, set and lead financial strategies to fund growth.
- Navigate and manage new business ventures (new revenue streams), including mergers and acquisitions.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of funding to achieve business plans.
- Build future growth pipeline.
- Drive budget and strategic plan financial performance.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Educational Requirements:
- CA (SA) and/or CIMA (CGMA / ACMA)
Experience Requirements:
Strong/proven experience in the following areas:
- Business / financial modelling
- Continuous improvement modelling
- Cash and financial planning, including financial cash investment strategies
- Complex project management, including acquisitions and mergers
- Building, leading and implementing sustainable financial strategy
- Working across multiple business units, Nationally.
- Working with large staff complements
