The successful candidate will serve as a primary source for Computer Aided Design in the production of design and construction drawings.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in Structural and / or Civil Engineering (Infrastructure) draughting and preferably within a consulting engineering environment
• Autodesk, AutoCAD Draughting Qualification (Advanced) and/or N4-N5 Draughting
• Extensive knowledge of design software essential i.e. AutoCAD, Revit, RebarMate, ProKon etc.
• Proficiency in MS-Office Suite
• Must be available to start immediately but a successful candidate who needs to serve their notice period will be given provision to do so
• Knowledge of current design and drawings standards

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Produce technical drawings using AutoCAD for draughting, detailing and designs, ensuring compliance of drafting and engineering standards
• Coordinate engineering services – manipulate / translate various digital file formats in order to create useable CAD drawings
• Apply the Quality Management Systems to all projects and keep abreast of current trends in CAD developments
• Ensure all Standard Drawings are continuously updated to Client’s specifications
• Participate in and contribute to, the ongoing improvement of the Built-Environment Infrastructure Services Division’s Professional Services and Systems
• Liaise with Project Managers to agree budgets and timeframes for development of concepts and details, production of drawings, and how information is to be presented
• Maintain a filing and retrieval system for all drawings
• Continue professional development through gaining appropriate technical and project management challenges during projects
• Coordinate with designers, technicians and other personnel to incorporate concepts and information into drawing packages
