What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)
Stock control and purchasing is the name of your game. You seek the best prices, negotiate with suppliers and cost saving gives you a special spring in your step. You love saving money, your own and the dosh of your company too. This is because you are a team player and you take care of those around you. In fact you will have a small team of about 5 people reporting to you and lead by example by following and implementing efficient processes and your proactive approach inspires those around you!
Where you’ll be doing it
Your new company has been a leader in their sector for many decades. They are niche and special in their offerings to specific markets in the mining and industrial sectors. You work with friendly people and your managers have a good sense of humour.
What you’ll need
Matric is a must and further tertiary qualification in supply chain is a big bonus. You have worked with procurement tools like ‘Net stock’ or similar, you are excellent at admin, you are dynamic and chase the best prices. You have management experience and you come from a manufacturing environment.
You cannot tolerate a messy stock room, ensure stock levels are always where they need to be and you are very organised.
Additionally, you are a likeable person and ready for a new challenge!
