We are currently recuriting for a Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team.

Tactile Technologies, the leading supplier of touch technology in Southern Africa is looking for a committed “business development manager” for the Gauteng region. Tactile Technologies offers a dynamic, customer orientated and motivated SME environment. Tactile Technologies is a rapidly growing company with a nationwide sales network that supplies to and supports the leading solution providers in the ICT-, Retail and Hospitality-, Gaming-, Industrial- and Medical market.

The function of the Business Development Manager is to maintain and grow existing accounts, and to identify and develop new business leads.

The incumbent must have a positive attitude, must be able to work independently and must have excellent communication skills.  The incumbent is to ensure that all duties assigned are completed with-in the required time frame and are as comprehensive as possible.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • A full understanding of market trends and requirements
  • Responsible to maintain and grow existing accounts
  • Responsible to identify and develop new business
  • The ability to organise and hold various training sessions for products and applications
  • Responsible to the support national and international distribution channels
  • Responsible to represent the business through various engagement strategies
  • Analyze and provide feedback on buying patterns of customers in a geographical area in order to meet target objectives
  • Provide ideas to increase sales within your area of responsibility
  • Build and sustain great customer service levels and business relationships in support of business objectives
  • Responsible to support marketing in creating all relevant campaigns

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum of 3-5 years sales experience in (IT) B2B distribution environment
  • Point of sale experience in distribution or similar environment preferred
  • Experienced in prospecting via cold calling and networking
  • Must be able to hunt for new prospective customers
  • Target driven, must have the ability to set monthly sales and new client targets
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Update leads and deals regularly on an internal sales system
  • General interest in technology and innovation
  • Drivers license and own vehicle is a must
