Description
National Insurance brokerage in Durban is looking for a Business Development Executive to join their team
Duties & Responsibilities
- Quoting on new business requests for personal insurance where no cover is in place.
- Issuing of policies once a client accepts a quotation.
- Meeting monthly targets.
- Quoting new clients
- Issuing policies
- Managing an electronic diary in terms of day to day follow ups
- Contacting clients daily to follow up on quotations
- Typing of general letters / correspondence, spreadsheets, templates, quotations
- Collecting Unpaid Premiums for first unpaid premium
- Telephone queries
- Meeting with walk in clients
- Updating client records
- Electronic filing and document management
- Project Assistance
- Setting personal monthly and yearly targets to assist the team in making the yearly target
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Typing – speed and accuracy: 45 – 55wpm; 100% accuracy
- Intermediate Numeracy and Maths skills
- Grade 12
- FAIS Compliant (RE5) / If not candidate will have to attend a Learnership to obtain necessary credits whilst employed at the company
- 0 to 3 Years experience advantageous

Successful candidates will be eligible for the following benefits over and above their monthly salary, after the 6-month probation period:
Company uniform to the value of R5 000 (replaced every 18 months)
