A private optometry group with a national footprint is looking for an experience leader to be appointed as Assistant Practice Manager / Practive Manager to assist with the day-to-day maangement of the practice
Fourways - Practice Manager
Kolonnade - Practice Manager
Woodlands - Assistant Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
Practice Management
Customer Care
Sales and Marketing
Weekly rosters and management of work hours for junior staff
Development and training of junior staff
Debtors
Stock control
Desired Experience & Qualification
Altough a qualification is not essential for this position, the following qualifications will be beneficial:
- Management / Practice management qualifications
- Accounting qualification
- Sales and marketing qualification
- Hospitality management qualification; or
- Nursing qualification
Previous experience in the following positions / industries will be beneficial:
- Management
- Floor management
- Hospitality management i.e., hotelĀ guest house / restaurant managers
- Medical industry i.e., nursing industry; or
- Practice managers of doctors
Strong leadership qualities
Ability to manage other staff and delegate tasks
Ability to work with a team of colleagues to achieve a common goal
Strong organisational skills - Physical organisation, digital organisation, planning, time maangement, communication
Ability to read each unique comster / patient, assess their exact needs and meet and exceed their needs
Professional and presentable
Ability to understand their products and services and efficiently sell and up-sell it to a customer / patent
Strong problem solving abilities
Computer literate - Microsoft Office Suite
Numerical skills
Must be willing to work retail hours

Salary negotiable + Incentives (depending experience and qualifications)
