Job Description

Must have experience and knowledge of all aspects of family law, labour law, litigation (including but not limited to lease agreements, evictions, claims for damages in motor vehicle recoveries for insurance companies – Not RAF), wills, trusts and deceased estates. Must have High Court, Magistrate’s Court, Maintenance Court and Domestic Violence Court appearance experience; Be Fully familiar with court practice directives and case lines; Candidate must know how to draft summons and pleadings in motor vehicle claim matters as the firm does recoveries for insurers (Not Road Accident Fund). Labour Law knowledge would be a great help, otherwise general legal work. The firm does evictions as well, mostly litigation practice. Director does most of the commercial work, Divorces and maintenance matters as well. Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision or help.

Qualifications

Law Degree. Admitted Attorney.

Skills

2-4 Years Post Article Experience gained within a litigation practice. Ghost Practice experience will be an advantage; Must be able to work independently, unattended and unsupervised; Must have own car and willing to travel; Must reside in the East Rand.

Salary / Package

R20,000 per month Basic
