Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description
- Will report to the Lodge Manager and assist the lodge Manager with management of the lodge as and when required.
- Providing sound leadership in the Guiding department to ensuring that all guests have an exceptional and value-added safari experience during all game drives.
- Ensure the company’s ethos and culture is maintained in the Rangers department.
- Ensure guiding equipment is well cared for and maintained
- Management and rostering of Guiding Staff
- Management and training. Staff Discipline.
- Guest Relations, Guiding.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications
FGASA level 2 (NQF 4+). Valid Driver’s license and PrDP. 2-3 years’ experience as a Senior Field Guide or Head Guide in an upmarket game lodge. DEAT Registered. First Aid and Fire Fighting Competency. Rifle Handling Competency. Nature Conservation Qualifications will be added as an advantage.
Skills
High level of general fitness and mental alertness is required in the position. Be fully computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office such as word, excel and power point. Management, Report writing, planning and leadership skills.
