Our client requires the services of an Agile Master (German Speaking)
POSITION: Contract until December 2024 (possible renewal)
COMMENCEMENT: As soon as possible
Duties & Responsibilities
ROLE
- Provides active and regular mentorship to other Agile Masters
- Supports Feature Teams in complex Products / Sub-products up to Domain level
- Provides key insights into the evolution of Agile KPIs in complex Agile Teams to improve efficiencies at an organisational level
- Contributes significant value in relevant CoPs through active leadership (DevOps & Agile)
- Guides the team and organisation on the use and application of Agile/Scrum methodologies and practices
- Aligns within bigger teams to ensure good collaboration and value adding outcomes
- Collaborates with Product Owners and colleagues across multiple sites/locations
- Gives structure to Agile ceremonies and meetings to lead and facilitate the team’s Agile way of working. This includes facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Assesses the agile maturity of the team and organisation and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team/projects
- Translation of user requirements from German to English (with IT context) in various formats such as Jira user stories, ITSM tickets, presentations, Word documents, and possibly even meetings and workshops
- Assists with internal and external communication and improving transparency. Demonstrates the status / performance of the team as key element
- Assists with project and team coordination tasks when required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years’ experience in more than one Agile Team
- At least 2 years’ experience in the IT / Software
- DevOps industry is essential.
- Post Matric Qualification, N6 or N7
- At least two of the following:
- Professional Scrum Master I™ (scrum.org)
- Certified ScrumMaster® (scrumailliance.org)
- Certified SAFe® Practitioner (scaledagile.com)
Specific Technical/Functional Skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak German language fluently, in addition to English
- Agile Working Model
- Excellent knowledge and experience in applying Agile Scrum
- Knowledge of GROUP, ITSM (Remedy), AWM (Advantageous)
- Excellent proficiency in the Agile Tool Chain (JIRA, Confluence, X-Ray)
Generic Technical/Functional Skills
- Previous exposure to a finance function (either being in a finance function or Agile Master for a team that services a Finance Function)
- Leadership skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
- Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (e.g., numerous Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, creating Confluence pages, etc)
- Looking after the administrative jobs associated with the project. This is a wide-ranging array of tasks, from staying in touch with team members, scheduling appointments, following up with stakeholders and helping to prepare reports, presentations and other documentation.
- Keeping track of time statement reports of the feature team (hours worked) to monitor 1960 hours per annum (Harmonized Contract Model).
- Assist with planning, offer suggestions to improve efficiencies
- Prepare and distribute project materials
