Duties & Responsibilities
Main Purpose of Role
- Invoicing, recording journals, performing reconciliation, statutory reporting and maintenance and analysis of financial data in order to provide accurate reporting.
Key Performance Areas
The incumbent must be able to produce the following outputs:
- Process of recurring monthly and annual invoices
- Analysis of recurring income
- Processing of employee costs per cost centre (Salary JNL)
- Maintain and Reconciling of general ledger accounts
- Processing of monthly journals
- VAT Calculation and submission to SARS
- EMP 201 calculation and submission to SARS
- Facilitating with month end procedures
- Analysis of Annual Income & Recognition
- Calculation of Bad Debt provision
- Authorising bank transfers and payments
- Assisting in Co-ordination of external audits and preparation of working papers
- Performance of Ad-hoc duties as assigned by Financial Manager and Executive Management
- Management of stock department – Sign off on all stock purchases.
- Assisting in preparing of Annual Financial Statements
- Supervision of Accounts team
Desired Experience & Qualification
Required Minimum Education / Training
- BCOM Degree in Accounting/Financial Management or relevant tertiary qualification
Required Minimum Work Experience
- 3-5years experience in Accounting and/Finance.
- Valid drivers’ licence and reliable vehicle.
Technical Competencies Required
- Good knowledge of MS Office including Excel at advanced level
- MS Office
