Duties & Responsibilities
- Work independently to lead the design, testing and evaluation of packages to support the product development and packaging development of Cosmetic and Personal Care products.
- Manage compatibility testing of product in the appropriate packaging materials to certify shelf-life requirements.
- Perform physical testing of components and final packages to predict consumer experience and prevent consumer issues.
- Conduct dimensional analysis on packaging components to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Write detailed test reports and approve package components for production release.
- Provide recommendations on packaging materials and their interaction with cosmetic formulas, decoration processes and packaging technologies.
- Schedule and organizing all required maintenance of equipment in package testing area.
- Understanding and providing valuable input into the redesign of packaging components for improved sustainability and recyclability
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant Tertiary experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience managing NPD Technology in FMCG/Packaging company.
- Experience in leading the testing and evaluation of packages.
- This individual should have excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to write and communicate their experimental findings.
- Maintaining equipment in proper working order and maintaining a clean work area is required.
- Must be flexible with good time management skills while working well under pressure.
