A position has become available for an experienced and qualified Senior Financial Analyst.

Purpose of the Job:

To coordinate, prepare, valuate and advise on projects and activities, ensuring value added to the company

Financial Analysis

• Prepare business cases for significant projects that are key to the operational plan of the company- engage with relevant executives and agree scope and expected outputs of the project- define project plan for BPPV team and provide close oversight and coaching in achieving objectives. Present results to Executive Management
• Manage subordinates in Evaluating projects and business cases relevant to all functional areas of Cell C, submitted to Finance department for approval, considering its strategic and financial implications to the company, and prepare its financial evaluation (cost of capital, financing mix, cash flows, NPV)
• Provide support in preparing the 5 year Business Plan of the company, that is submitted to the company’s shareholders- define and explain inputs required from each department and engage with respective departments in developing accurate forecasts for the company, through analyzing local and global industry and technological trends as well as considering macro- economic factors
• Assist the Head of Corporate Finance by preparing financial forecasts required to support funding applications submitted to financial institutions. Present these forecast s to CFO and Shareholders for approval before presenting to financial institutions.
• Review analysis relevant to the company’s current or expected performance
• Define and coordinate the development of financial models incorporating key activity drivers that substantiate financial results (income, investment, expenses, cash flow etc).
• While integrating multifunctional teams established by Procurement Department for major tender processes, evaluate economic impact of initiatives under the tender process and assess economic results of different bidders
• Provide support to the Budgeting and Forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with the Business Plan as well as managing compliance with financial covenants that the company has with various financial institutions

Staff Management

• Coordinate, lead and delegate duties to the team as per work flow requirements, while reporting to the Head Business Plan and Project Valuation, or to his delegate
• Provide job training and coaching to the team
• Provide an advisory and support function.
• Evaluate performance of each team member and provide advice and indication of development needs
• Support Finance Department representing Cell C on relations with key stakeholders (Board of Directors and/or Investors), if required
• Represent Business Planning and Project Evaluation Department internally in the company
• Assist with recruitment to the department

Perform any related duties as requested by Management

Qualifications

• BComm. Hons  in Economics OR
• BComm. Hons  Accounting OR
• BComm. Hons  Finance / Financial Management

Experience                                                    

• 3 + years’ experience in financial management environment, including project evaluation or Corporate Finance. - or
• 5+ years’ experience in analytics
