A permanent position has become available in our Trauma Unit, Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital, Pinelands in Cape Town, for a registered nurse (trained/experienced). The successful candidate will report to the Unit Manager, Heidi Freese.

• Assist the unit to meet the requirements of quality patient care, ensuring that nursing care activities are carried out to comply with SANC regulations, relevant legislation and Life Health Care policies and procedures.
• A commitment to practicing nursing as guided by the latest international guidelines of evidence-based health care is essential.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

• Qualification/Experience as a Trauma Registered Nurse is essential
• Registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse
• Ability to work shifts/night duty according to the operational requirements of the hospital - flexibility
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players would be an advantage
• Computer proficiency would be an advantage
• Team leading
• Ability to do clinical patients rounds
