Description
Our client is an integrated international fruit grower and exporter. They are looking to appoint a Junior Commercial Manager to join their team.
While working closely with Logistics, Technical and Trade Finance departments the incumbent will ensure efficient and best practice service to their clients. This position reports to the General Manager and will be based at their Citrusdal Office.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting seasonal programs
- Assist with marketing strategy
- Manage stocks vs orders from receiver programs
- Manage the supply and demand program between overseas customers and packing facilities
- Manage and analyze export costings
- Communicate the prices and terms with overseas and local customers
- Interact between different diversities in the organization
- Support logistics department with some logistical functions
- Negotiate with suppliers and receivers
- Monitor and compiling the packing specifications and codes
- Assist with packing instructions
- Manage all claims
Desired Experience & Qualification
- B. Comm Degree with a Marketing/Logistics/International Trade major or similar degree
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- An understanding of the retail and/or agricultural industries
- Strong planning and coordination skills
- Strong time management skills and deadline driven
- Strong administration skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and open mindedness
- Computer literacy: MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- The ability to self-drive and self-motivate
