We are Conversion Advantage, a digital marketing agency based in Paarl, looking for a young, skilled junior web developer who has a passion for technology in general and web development that can demonstrate this to us. The ideal candidate must be a fast learner, keen to take charge and deliver the required results asked of him/her. The job is based at our Knysna branch and own transport is required.

A breakdown of what you will be doing:

• The selected candidate will work closely with the team to create and code websites from scratch.
• Assist in the stabilising and testing of the project/product in conjunction with the user and business analyst.

Requirements:

• Experience as a developer
• HTML5 and CSS
• Photoshop or other decent graphics editing software
• Knowledge of Dreamweaver CS3 or higher
• Knowledge of SQL
• Javascript
• jQuery
• Skills in responsive web design
• WordPress experience
• PHP
• Back end and front end development skills
• An undergraduate qualification in web development

Essential skills:

• Good coding skills in HTML (HTML5/XHTML), CSS and JavaScript.
• Server-side scripting language such as PHP, Python skills.
• Good knowledge of the principles of relational databases.
• Knowledge of and some experience in relevant frontend tools such as jQuery, Bootstrap.
